Cinders was a one off. She was truly ‘one in a million’. No one is quite like her.
She was loving, kind, thoughtful, selfless and scatty. She had huge determination to achieve what she set out to do, and a sense of fairness and support for the underdog.
Her life always involved people, usually helping them. She always tried to improve peoples circumstances either through her work as an architect or family and friends through her friendship and guidance.
Her selflessness was perhaps her undoing, she was always too busy with others problems to attend to her own needs.
She neglected acting on symptoms she had and by the time she was diagnosed with bowel cancer, she was at stage 4.
She would want her story to trigger people to recognise and act on symptoms which could be sinister. This was her wish.
